PDO,
the Personal Document Organizer is available as
Personal
Document Organizer Standard,
Personal Document Organizer Lite
and Personal Document Organizer Basic. The three provide various levels of functionality to
suit your requirements. All three have a predefined database, cabinet and
folders. Personal Document Organizer Standard allows creation of
new cabinets and folders, Personal Document Organizer Lite allows creation of new folder, whereas
Personal Document Organizer Basic is limited to the built in
set. Personal Document Organizer Standard also allows creating new databases in addition to the
original database. Active Disk PDO and Active Disk PDOView
are Iomega® Active Disk versions based on
Personal Document Organizer Standard (v 1.32) and Personal Document Organizer
Basic. Both work from any Active disk compatible
device. Now you can run PDO on any machine that
supports an Active Disk compatible device. Just insert the
Active Disk and the software will start with access to all your
documents where ever you go.
U3 SmartDrive PDOLite is based on Personal Document
Organizer Lite. It is designed to work on the U3 Smartdrive
platform and allows you to take both the software and the database
where ever you go.
Personal Document Organizer Standard and Active Disk PDO
are available for 30 day
trial. Personal Document Organizer Lite and Personal
Document Organizer Basic over a thirty day trial period downgrade
from Personal Document Organizer Standard to Personal
Document Organizer Lite and to Personal Document Organizer
Basic. After the initial 30 day period you can continue
using the software as Personal Document Organizer Basic.

The Personal Document Organizer, provides easy to use
Document Management and Storage Management capabilities to a PC user. In
addition to managing electronic documents and files, such as email messages, digital
photographs, office documents, links to web resources, the Personal Document Organizer provides catalog
and search capabilities for paper documents and any other item in a home or office.
You can create notes (reviews, conversation logs, recipes), reminders
(birthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments, project dues), to do items and
annotate them for maintaining a log in the Personal Document Organizer. The
Personal Document Organizer is a valuable tool for any home, office, or college
student and is available for a fraction of the cost of other document/storage
management solutions.
Personal Document Organizer facilitates cataloging and
access to information in a password protected catalog. Search can locate any and all
cataloged information including electronic files whether they are stored on zip disk's,
CD-ROM's, floppies, hard disk or the web, without having to load the media or connecting to
the web.
A companion product is
Active Disk PDOView for publishing documents, urls, notes etc. Use PDO
standard to publish documents to a database on an Active Disk PDOView zip disk.
Active Disk PDOView provides capabilities to access all published documents etc.
from any Active Disk compatible device on any PC.
Iomega® Active Disk allows your software to run
everywhere you do because it runs directly from your Iomega Zip disk. Insert the
disk, and your application launches automatically. When finished, simply eject,
and everything is saved to your secure Zip disk. Portable, easy, and secure -
and it won't clutter your hard drive.
Active Disk PDO makes, Personal Document Organizer portable to any PC that supports an
Active Disk compatible device. Just insert Active Disk PDO and access your
documents, web links, notes, reminders, where ever you go. Alternatively
you can create a local database on each PC to manage, locate and organize.
Use publish to transfer documents from one PC to another.
Registered users of Active Disk PDO will get a copy of Active Disk
PDO based on PDO standard v2.5.

U3 Smartdrive allows your software to run
everywhere you go because it runs directly from your U3 Smartdrive. Insert the
drive in a USB port, and you have access to PDOLite on any Windows 2000/XP
platform. To run PDOLite you need to have administrative priveleges on the
target machine. When finished, close PDO before ejecting the drive and
wait for the application to stop.

does not allow creation of additional databases, migration of files to another media, the
ability to publish information for archival or distribution and advanced boolean search capabilities.
